In the film Re-Election, Jimmy Bauer (Adam Saunders) never got over losing the race for class president during his senior year in high school in 1995, which resulted in him dropping out of school. Now in his forties, Jimmy blames all his shortcomings on the loss and decides to go back to high school to make it right. Jimmy is determined to win the class election, but along the way learns that it’s not how we start a journey that matters, but how we finish it.

Star Saunders, who wrote and directed the film, as well as Tony Danza, who plays Saunder’s father, recently spoke with SciFi Vision about creating the unique film, how the idea came about, what they learned from the experience, the advice they would give their teenage selves, and much more.
